Nvivo

NVivo is a qualitative data analysis ( QDA ) software package manufactured by QSR International . NVivo was developed to support the work of qualitative researchers who work with qualitative , i.e. text-based or multimedia data, and who want to generate insights from this.

NVivo is mainly used by researchers from science, the government or health sector and is used in various fields such as social sciences , psychology , anthropology , communication , sociology , but also in forensics , criminology , marketing or tourism.

The first NVivo product was developed by Tom Richards in 1999 and published under the name NUD * IST. It contained functions for fine, detailed analyzes and the creation of qualitative models.
