Grave stele of Nachtneith

Nachtneith is the name of an ancient Egyptian queen during the early dynastic era . It is very likely that she was a wife of King Den , who lived in the 1st Dynasty , around 2900 BC. Ruled.

Nachtneith is only known from her tombstone , which was found in a side grave in the Den necropolis . On the tombstone she bears the titles “ Groß an Hetes- Szepter ” ( Wr.t-ḥts ) and “ Who bears Horus ” ( Rmn- Ḥr. (W) ). The stele is now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo under the inventory number JE 35005. It is about 31.6 cm high and 18.5 cm wide.
