The Nadisee is a lake with an integrated fountain system in the Olympic Village , in the Am Riesenfeld district of Munich in the 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart district .

description

With an area of around 0.16  hectares , it is Munich's smallest swimming lake. The approximate extension in north-south direction is 50 m, in east-west direction 80 m. It was built together with the athletes' village for the 1972 Olympic Games between Nadistrasse and Connollystrasse . The Nadisee lake, named after the street, which in turn pays tribute to the Italian athlete Nedo Nadi , has mostly knee-deep concrete floors and adults do not have enough water at any point over their heads. This makes it suitable for children and families for swimming in summer and for ice skating in winter. There are occasional festivities at the lake. When the water is drained for cleaning work, the empty concrete tub is used by mountain bikers and especially skateboarders.
