Nahuel y el Libro Mágico (German: Nahuel und Zauberbuch ) is a Chilean-Brazilian animated film , which was shown on June 15, 2020 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2020.

Young Nahuel tries as best he can to help his father, a fisherman, but is very afraid of the sea. The two live together in a fishing village on a bay and have a rather cool and distant relationship with each other. Nahuel thinks his father disappointed him because of his fear of the sea. At some point, Nahuel discovers a book that promises to solve his problems. However, it turns out that the book is magical and is sought after by the ambitious magician Kalku. Kalku separates Nahel and his father during a raging storm. An adventure then begins for Nahuel that leads him through his deepest fears.
Production and publication
The film was co-produced by the Brazilian animation studio Levante Filmes and the Chilean animation studio Punkrobot Studio . It was directed by Germán Acuña, who wrote the script together with Juan Pablo Sepúlveda. A release date for presentation in the cinema or other media has not yet been announced, and it is not yet known whether a German-speaking
