Naisiai is a village with 539 inhabitants (as of 2011) in the district of Šiauliai , Lithuania .
history
Until 1795 the Naisiai manor belonged to Šiauliai . There was a primary school from 1904 to 1914. The first teacher was Ana Guseva from Saint Petersburg , Russia . In 1923 there were 131 inhabitants. From 1999 there was a secondary school. The television series "Naisių vasara" was filmed here. In 2011 the Naisiai Theater was built with a troupe of twelve young actors. The music festival "Naisiai-Sommer" (lit. Naisių vasara ) takes place in Naisiai . The village has its own radio.
