Česlovas Vytautas Karbauskis
Česlovas Vytautas Karbauskis (* before 1945 near Varniai , Telšiai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian manager and entrepreneur , former Soviet-Lithuanian agronomist , kolkhoz leader and politician . Since 2005 he has been an honorary citizen of Naisiai Village .
Life
He grew up in Klubokai , 6 km from Varniai near Telšiai . In 1969 Karbauskis graduated from Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija and worked in Naisiai from 1969 to autumn 1986. In June 1978 he did his PhD in agronomy at the Latvian Institute of Agriculture and Economy on the subject of "Mineralinių trąšų efektyvumas sistemingai tręšiamose Vidurio Lietuvos lygumos velėninėse glėjinėse priemonio dirvose". From 1989 to 1992 he was the director of the Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture and Agriculture ( Lietuvos sodininkystės ir daržininkystės institutas ) in Babtai ( Kaunas district ). From October 2007 to 2010, he was General Manager of the UAB "Naisių investicijos" holding company.
Karbauskis was a member of the Supreme Soviet of Soviet Lithuania and a member of the presidium of the Association for Book Lovers.
He works as an entrepreneur and manager in the companies of his son Ramūnas. Among other things, he is also a farmer. Its registered agricultural unit is called Ūkininko Č. V. Karbauskio ūkis with its seat in Sereikiai in the district of Šiauliai .
As a result of the Karbauskis initiative, the Zigmas Gėlė Prize for the first poetry book by a young writer was founded in 1976.
family
Karbauskis is married to the teacher Nijolė Karbauskienė and has three children.
The older son is Ramūnas Karbauskis (* 1969), a Lithuanian agricultural entrepreneur and politician, former Seimas Parliamentary Vice-President and patron.
The younger son is Mindaugas Karbauskis (* 1972), Lithuanian-Russian theater director.
His daughter is Jurga Karbauskytė, a Lithuanian psychologist and entrepreneur.
