Mindaugas Karbauskis ( Russian Миндаугас Карбаускис ; born January 28, 1972 in Naisiai , Šiauliai district ) is a Lithuanian - Russian theater director .

Life

After graduating from a secondary school in Soviet Lithuania , Mindaugas Karbauskis studied at the Faculty of Theater Directing of the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy in Vilnius . After graduating in 1994, he tried to gain a foothold as an actor, but was mostly unemployed for the next three years. In 1997 he went to Moscow to study at the Faculty of Directing of the Russian Academy of Theater Arts . Its head there was Pyotr Fomenko . Karbauskis has been Art Director at Moscow's Academic Mayakovsky Theater since May 2011 . 2014 he was from Russia because of offenses by traffic regulations deported briefly. The ban on entering Russia until the end of 2015 has been lifted.

Karbauskis lives in Moscow .

family

His father is Česlovas Vytautas Karbauskis (* ≈1945), Lithuanian agronomist and agricultural manager, Soviet-Lithuanian politician, kolkhoz manager. His mother, Nijolė Karbauskienė, is a teacher. There are three children in the family.

The older brother is Ramūnas Karbauskis (* 1969), Lithuanian agricultural entrepreneur and politician, former Seimas parliamentary vice-president and patron. Sister Jurga Karbauskytė is a Lithuanian psychologist and entrepreneur.
