Nakhun Yai
Nakhun Yai (also: Nakun Yai, Nakoon Yai, Thai นา คูณ ใหญ่ ) is a commune ( tambon ) in the northeast region of Thailand ( Isan ), province ( Changwat ) Nakhon Phanom , administered by the district office Amphoe Na Wa with about 4565 inhabitants (2005) .
The municipality is located about 900 km north of Bangkok . The village is economically under-developed due to seasonal agriculture; there is a strong rural exodus into the metropolitan areas or into the tourist areas.

Neighboring tambon are Phon Suang of Amphoe Si Songkhram in the north and east and Na Wa in the south and west.
history
The commune was established on May 1, 1978, when five villages were separated from Na Wa.
Administrative division
Tambon Nakhun Yai is administered by a "Tambon Administrative Organization" (TAO, องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล - Administrative Organizations), which was established on February 13, 1997. It is divided into the following seven administrative areas ( Muban ):
