Naledi (Free State)

Naledi was a municipality ( Local municipality ) in the district of Xhariep , Free State Province in South Africa . In 2011 the population was 24,314 on a total area of ​​3,424 km². The seat of the municipal administration was Dewetsdorp . Jonny Makitle was the last mayor.

The community was named after the Sesotho word for "star" and was meant to symbolize the pursuit of a brighter and prosperous future.

Until 2011, the community belonged to the Motheo district and meanwhile to Xhariep . In 2016 she came to the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality .
