Nalibaki ( Belarusian : Налібакі, Russian : Налибоки) is a village in the Stoubzy Raion in the Minskaya Woblasz in Belarus . The zip code is 222683. The village is located in the northern part of the Rajons and belongs to the Selsawet Nalibaki .

Nalibaki massacre

During the German occupation , the village , which was in eastern Poland until the Second World War , was attacked and robbed on May 8, 1943 at around 5 a.m. by the Soviet partisans of the Stalin Brigade, among them Jewish partisans, stationed in the Nalibaki Forest . The attack lasted about 2-3 hours, killing at least 128 Polish civilians, mostly men, but also 3 women, male adolescents and a ten-year-old child, and burning down a number of buildings. The murdered were real or suspected members of the Polish self-defense (vigilante) founded in August 1942 in response to raids by partisans and criminal gangs. The Soviet side surprisingly broke the previous non-aggression pact between the partisans and the vigilante group. In the reports of the Soviet partisans the attack was presented as the elimination of a German garrison, in reality there were no Germans in the area at the time of the attack.

Attractions

The St. Mary's Assumption Monastery, built in 1900, is located on the site of the cemetery. In 2005–2006 the church of Archangel Michael was built in the village.

The village is surrounded by the Nalibokskaya Pushcha (Naliboki Heath) Protected Landscape Area . The name of the nature reserve is derived from the name of the village.
