Nana Swiczinsky

Nana Swiczinsky (born October 5, 1969 in Vienna ) is an Austrian animation filmmaker .

biography

After studying animation film at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, she has been working as a freelance animation filmmaker since 1997. Around 1990 she worked as a cartoonist and illustrator for the daily newspapers Der Standard and Az as well as for the city magazine Falter .

In 1998 she received first prize in the Best Animation category at the Austin Film Festival in Texas . In addition to her work as an artist, she has also taught at various universities since 2000 and currently has a teaching position at the Vienna University of Technology at the Institute for Art and Design. In cooperation with designaustria, she runs the training facility illuskills , which offers courses in animation and illustration.

In 2010 she worked as a storyboard artist in the film Die Säulen der Erde . In 2013 she did the "character design" for the animated music video "Die Telefonbuchpolka".
