Nanni di Banco
Nanni di Banco (* around 1373 in Florence ; † February 13, 1421 ) was an Italian sculptor of the Florentine School .
Di Banco was the son of a stonemason and was apprenticed to Niccolò d'Arezzo. Along with Donatello, he is one of the main masters of the Renaissance .
Famous works include:
- San Luca (1412–13), formerly at the cathedral, today in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, Florence
- Santi Quattro Coronati ( Four Saints ) (1410–18) at the Orsanmichele Church
- Assumption of the Virgin (1414–21) above the Porta della Mandorla of the Florentine Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
