Orsanmichele (actually: Or San Michele , former name San Michele in Orto ) is a church building in Florence of the Archdiocese of Florence . The two- or three-story building from the Romanesque and Gothic eras is located entirely in the street block Via dei Calzaiuoli , Via dell'Arte della Lana , Via dei Lamberti and Via Orsanmichele . The Museo di Orsanmichele art museum is located on the ground floor . The building initially served as a granary, on the ground floor before the fire in 1337, and on the upper floors after it was rebuilt.
