The Peace of Frederiksborg was concluded on July 3rd . / July 14, 1720 greg. between Denmark - Norway and Sweden closed in the great hall of Frederiksborg Castle . He ended the Great Northern War between the two countries . Sweden undertook to pay 600,000 Reichsthalers to Denmark-Norway, lost the privilege of not having to pay a sundial and broke its alliance with the Gottorf sub- duchy in the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein . The King of Denmark also formally received the ducal shares of the Duchy of Schleswig , which he had occupied since 1713.

In return, the Swedes received the lost Carlsten fortress above Marstrand back. The Danish Vice Admiral Peter Wessel Tordenskiold had conquered these festivals on July 15, 1719 with the help of a ruse.
