Nanoscale is a scientific journal published by the Royal Society of Chemistry dealing with all aspects of nanoscience and nanotechnology . The weekly English-language magazine works on the principle of peer review .

The journal is created in cooperation with the Chinese National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) in Beijing and, together with the biannual journal Nanoscale Horizons , which has been published since 2016, and Nanoscale Advances, which has been published since 2018, forms the portfolio of the Royal Society of Chemistry on nanoscience and technology .

The impact factor in 2014 was 7.394. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 19th out of 157 journals in the multidisciplinary chemistry category , 21st out of 259 journals in the multidisciplinary materials science category, and tenth in the nanoscience & nanotechnology category out of 79 journals and twelfth out of 139 journals in the applied physics category.
