The Nantong Zhiyun Football Club (Chinese:南通支云足球俱乐部) is a professional Chinese football club, currently in the China League One under license from the Chinese Football Association is participating (CFA). The team is based in Nantong ( Jiangsu ), and his home stadium is the Rugao Olympic Sports Center with 15,000 seats. The club's founder and owner is the Nantong Municipal Football Association .
history
The club was founded when the Nantong Municipal Football Association bought Guangxi Longguida FC's first team as well as their registration and license in the China League Two of the Chinese Football Association. Nantong Zhiyun FC was officially established on March 13, 2016 at an opening ceremony in Rugao, Nantong, where Chairman Fan Bing announced that the club would be named after the Zhiyun Pagoda, which overlooks the top of Langshan Hill the city of Nantong is located. The club badge would represent a wolf, while blue was chosen as the team's home color. Former Chinese referee Li Jun has been appointed general manager of the club and former Chinese international Wei Xin has been appointed head coach.
In the 2018 China League Two season, they achieved promotion to the second division for the first time in history after beating Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic 1-0 at Shaanxi Province Stadium on October 27 in front of 48,869 spectators .
