An unforgettable night
An unforgettable night ( Chinese 难忘 今宵 , pinyin nánwàng jīnxiāo ) is a Chinese patriotic farewell song . Its text is by Qiao Yu , the music by Wang Ming. It celebrates the feeling of togetherness at the time of the Spring Festival , especially the national one.
Its popularity is reflected in the fact that it is regularly sung at the end of China's CCTV Spring Festival Gala (the New Year Gala) and is comparable to that of the song Say Goodbye, Brothers .
It is included in many Red Songs anthologies .
In 2007, the piece was one of the media items with which the Chinese lunar probe Chang'e 1 was equipped.
A well-known interpreter of the song is the singer Li Guyi .
