Narayanpur is a small town in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh .

The settlement is the capital of the Narayanpur District . Narayanpur has the status of Nagar Panchayat . The city is divided into 15 wards . It had 22,106 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census , of which 11,451 were men and 10,655 women . The literacy rate in 2011 was 82.5% and thus above the national average. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of around 89%. Muslims form a minority with a share of around 3%.
