Nariné Simonian

Nariné Simonian ( Armenian Նարինե Սիմոնյան ; * 1965 in Leninakan , Armenian SSR ) is a pianist , organ player and opera director.

Life

Simonian attended the music school in 1976, where she graduated in 1980 and won first place. From 1981 to 1985 she attended the Yerevan State Conservatory , where she graduated with first prize as a concert pianist and soloist in the chamber music ensemble. As a concert organist, she took first place in 1989. Between 1989 and 1991 she gave concerts as a soloist in the Yerevan Philharmonic and gave master classes in Moscow, Tallinn and Helsinki. From 1991 she studied in France with the organists Marie-Claire Alain and Huguette Dreyfus as well as with André Isoir . In 1994 she was awarded first prizes at the international piano competition in Freiburg / CH and in 1995 for organ from the Conservatoire National de Région in Rueil-Malmaison. In the same year she won the Île-de-France national organ competition .

Nariné Simonian lives in Paris, where she staged Christoph Willibald Gluck's opera " Orpheus and Euridike " in 2010 in the Sainte-Croix church in Paris Le Marais. The organ version with Jozef Kapustka was a world premiere.
