description
At almost all landscape gatherings of the guilds, there is a service of haters in the local church in the evening or morning before the fool's leap . The liturgy of the mass can then have the following characteristics:
- Entry , exit and other parts of the Holy Mass are musically accompanied by a fool's band or Guggenmusik instead of the organ.
- Participants of the service appear in costumes in the "hat" (but without the face covering by masks).
- The celebrant delivers the sermon in rhyme and / or local dialect .
- Intercessions are read out by haunters.
