Fools procession

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fools Procession is a music album by Emi / Electrola (sub-label “Songbird”) from 1978, which never entered the official market , on which Michael Ende's lyrics can be heard by Hans Posegga . The interpreter of the lyrical works Endes, some exclusively for the long-playing record, was Klaus Löwitsch .

Emergence

In 1976 Michael Ende made contact with the composer Hans Posegga, whom he offered to set to music his texts, some of which he had already performed with a guitarist in the circle of friends. According to his ideas, the model should be the songs Jacques Préverts , Jacques Brels , Angelo Branduardis and Fabrizio de Andrés . The composer accepted this offer. Posegga initially introduced himself to the author himself as the interpreter of his settings. After he refused to sing for the record production, the choice fell on the actor Klaus Löwitsch. The release of the album, which was produced with a large orchestra in the Munich Bavaria studios and already pressed on, was ultimately prevented at the end of the day. The author's official website states:

but Michael Ende is probably rather shocked by the result. He and his publisher ( Thienemann ) decide not to bring the production onto the market. Some of Hans Posegga's melodies will continue to accompany Michael Ende. He likes to play it to a close circle of friends, usually late at night, and he accompanies himself on the guitar.

After the decline of the record at the end of the 1990s, the LP entered the second-hand market in ways that were no longer comprehensible.
