Nat Neujean
Nat Neujean (* January 5, 1923 as Nathanaël Neuman in Antwerp ; † February 4, 2018 in Uccle / Ukkel ) was a Belgian sculptor . His best-known work is a bronze statue of the cartoon characters Tintin and Struppi .
Life
From 1939 to 1941 Neujean was a student at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten (Antwerp) . According to the instructions of the academy, he was discriminated against as a Jew and transferred to Brussels .
Neujean created bronze statues . In 2014, some of his sculptures were exhibited in the Hergé Museum in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve .

Honors
Neujean is a Grand Officer of the Order of the Leopold .
