Natacha

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Natacha (born July 29, 1965 ) as Natacha von Moos, today Natacha Utiger , is a Swiss dialect rock singer from the canton of Bern .

Life

Natacha grew up with three brothers in Burgdorf and, as a child, showed a special interest in music, poetry and writing texts. After appearing on Swiss television in 1991 with her first band "Big Trouble with Natacha", she received an offer from a record company to sing in English, but preferred to record her own dialect songs and send out the demo tapes. The first record deal followed three months later.

In 1992 she was the first Swiss artist to publish a dialect album. The album strengntaler , released in 1995, was the first dialect album in the Swiss album charts (number 1). Ten other albums achieved gold and 4 platinum awards.

To date, Natacha has produced 14 albums. She produced her latest work Alls Drby with producer Andy Wright (including Simply Red) at Abbey Road Studios in London. It was released on March 6, 2020 and opened the 2020 Big Trouble Tour.

Natacha, the Swiss "First Lady" of dialect pop rock, decided after an SF-TV appearance to record her first album in "Berndeutsch". With Keini Gränze and its successor Orlando , the Bern native wrote Swiss rock music history. With strengntaler, produced by Tony Carey, she was the first dialect artist to enter the Swiss album charts from 0 directly to number 1. Extremely successful albums followed: Venezia with the smash duet hit Banderas (Tony Carey / Rainbow), Imago with the hit Sölli, Sölli nid, Natacha 2000 (Edo Zanki), kiss with the hit Sorry, Gschpüre with Villich up to N ° 10 with the hit I fa di uf . The released albums were consistently awarded. Songs like Schwäfelhölzli, Niemmer Weis, Orlando, I would be so gärn, Startklar and Lily are now cult. Natacha composes and writes most of her songs herself. She is the mother of two adult sons, Simon and Emanuel.
