Natal Ridge is a striking, unsnow-covered and terraced mountain ridge in the east of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It forms part of the northern boundary of the Two Step Cliffs .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1993 in recognition of the geomorphological and biological studies carried out by scientists at the University of Natal while exploring the neighboring Mars glacier .
