Nate Tubbs (born December 1, 1964 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is a heavyweight boxer and brother of former world heavyweight champion Tony Tubbs .

Professional career

Nate began his professional career in 1987, soon after he was noticed and he became a sparring partner of Mike Tyson . The highlight of his career is the fight against the then undefeated Corrie Sanders on May 20, 1994, which he won by knockout in the second round.

After he suffered two knockout defeats in a row in 1998, most recently against David Tua , he did not play any more fights as a professional and remained inactive for 7 years. He returned to the ring on October 15, 2005 at the age of 40, winning the fight against Mike Middleton by technical knockout in the first round.
