Nathan Mantel

Nathan Mantel (born February 16, 1919 in New York City , † May 26, 2002 in Potomac, Maryland ) was an American biometrician . He achieved his greatest fame through the creation of the Mantel-Haenszel test and the Mantel-Haenszel odds ratio . He worked for the NCI for a long time . During his career he published more than 380 scientific papers. He died of a heart attack at his Potomac home at the age of 83.
