Nathaniel Mubukwanu

Nathaniel Mubukwanu (born September 26, 1969 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Mubukwanu completed a degree in development aid, which he completed with a Bachelor of Arts (BA Development Studies), and then worked as a specialist in development aid. As a candidate of the Patriotic Front (PF) , he was elected to the National Assembly of Zambia on September 20, 2011 and represented the constituency of Mongu Central there until 2016 . In February 2013, he was appointed provincial minister for the Northwest Province in his cabinet by President Michael Sata . After Sata's death on October 28, 2014, he also retained this office in the cabinet of his acting successor Guy Scott .

In the cabinet of Edgar Lungu , who took over the office of President on January 25, 2015, he became Minister Provincial for the Southern Province in January 2015 . After the election on August 11, 2016, President Lungu appointed him to represent the PF for one of the eight presidential seats in the National Assembly of Zambia . In a cabinet reshuffle in September 2016, he was appointed provincial minister for the western province , while Edify Hamukale succeeded him as the new provincial minister for the southern province.
