Edify Hamukale

Edify Mukambala Hamukale (born April 15, 1971 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Hamukale completed a degree in agricultural science and economics and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Agriculture & Economics). A postgraduate course he finished in agricultural sciences with a Master of Science (M.Sc. Agriculture) and a Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D. ). He completed another postgraduate course in management with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and worked as an agricultural and economist as well as a management consultant.

After the election on August 11, 2016, President Edgar Lungu named him as a representative of the Patriotic Front (PF) for one of the eight presidential seats in the National Assembly of Zambia . In September 2016, President Lungu also appointed him provincial minister for the southern province in his cabinet . He succeeded Nathaniel Mubukwanu , who himself became the new provincial minister for the Western Province .
