Nathorst-Land (sometimes also Nathorsts Land ) is a peninsula on the Svalbard island of Spitsbergen . The area lies between the Van Mijenfjorden and the Van Keulenfjorden in the southern part of Svalbard. In the east the peninsula (from north to south) is bounded by Paulabreen, Kjølberget, the upper part of Strongbreen and then Doktorbreen. Heer-Land is to the north and northeast , Torell-Land is to the southeast .

North of Van Mijenfjorden is the larger peninsula of Nordenskiöld-Land . Wedel-Jarlsberg-Land lies south of the Van Keulenfjorden .

Nathorst-Land lies outside the area designated as Management Area 10 , in which tourists are also allowed to move freely. To stay in this area, tourists need a permit from the Sysselmannen and proof of insurance for possible rescue operations . There are no settlements here.

Nathorst Land was named after the Swedish Arctic explorer, geologist and paleobiologist Alfred Gabriel Nathorst . He led expeditions to Spitzbergen in 1870, 1882 and 1898, as well as to Greenland in 1899 .
