National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is an American research center based in Bethesda , Maryland . It is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which in turn is an agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services . NCATS was founded in 2012 to accelerate the process of applying research results and to make their results available to patients more quickly and more cheaply.
