The Jewish cemetery in Kirchhain , a town in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district in Hesse , was first recorded in 1743. The 39.05  ares large Jewish cemetery is located on Rötheweg by the communal cemetery. The cemetery was expanded around 1860, 1880 and most recently around 1923.

During the Nazi era , the cemetery was supposed to be closed. In 1941 the gravestones were cleared from the area ceded to the Reichsbahn and the dead buried here were reburied in a collective grave. As a result, most of the gravestones from around 1820 to 1907 were destroyed; no gravestone has survived between 1856 and 1863. The oldest and the youngest part of the cemetery have largely been preserved.
