National Museum of Crime & Punishment
The National Museum of Crime & Punishment was a museum in Washington, DC in the United States . The museum was privately owned and was dedicated to topics of criminology and penology in US history. On September 30, 2015, it had to close due to the termination of the lease.

In May 2008 by an entrepreneur in partnership with John Walsh, a noted detective, attorney, and host of America's Most Wanted television show (Walsh's son was murdered by serial killer Ottis Toole in 1981 ) with an investment of $ 21 million. opened, over 700 exhibits will be shown on an area of 2,600 m². The exhibition covers all types of crime, law enforcement techniques and punishment from the times of the Wild West to piracy and the country's most famous serial killers . So is u. a. a replica of Al Capone's prison cell or a decommissioned electric chair on display. The museum also serves as the television studio for America's Most Wanted , a documentary television program used to solve crimes and track down suspects.
