National I Féminine 2005/06

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nationale I Féminine 2005/06 was the fourth French team championship in women's chess and also the last under this name, as the competition was renamed Top 12 for the following season .

Champion was Évry Grand Roque , while the defending champion Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 had to be content with third place. The Club de La Tour Hyéroise , the Club de Orcher la Tour Gonfreville and the Club de Thomas Bourgneuf Créteil had risen from the Nationale II . Créteil achieved relegation as the only climber, while Hyère and Gonfreville had to relegate together with the Club de L'Echiquier Naujacais . The fourth relegation place occupied the Club de Bischwiller , which, however, remained first class, as the second team of the club landed in the National II on a promotion place. For the reported team squads, see the team squad of the Nationale I Féminine 2005/06 .

Game dates

The preliminary round took place from April 7th to 9th, 2006 and was organized centrally in Évry . The semi-finals were played on June 24th in Clichy , the final on June 25th in Paris .

mode

The twelve participating clubs were divided into two groups of six ( Groupe A and Groupe B ) and played a simple round-robin tournament in these . The number of team points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight) first decided on the placement, then the difference between winning and losing games and finally the number of winning games . The last two in each group were relegated to National I, while the first two in each group qualified for the final round. This was carried out in the knockout system , with third place not being played out.

Groupe B

JEEN, Clichy and Mulhouse fought a three-way battle to make it to the semi-finals. Only in the last round did Clichy secure the semi-final place by beating Mulhouse, but had to let JEEN win the group due to the better points on the board. While Gonfreville was already relegated before the last lap, Bischwiller only fell back to penultimate place in the last lap. However, Bischwiller was spared relegation, as the club's second team occupied a promotion place in the National II.
