National Encyclopedia
A national and cultural encyclopedia is an encyclopedia that tries to present all known knowledge about a nation or culture.

Bolschaja Russkaja Enziklopedia ( Bol'schaja sovjetskaja enciklopedija , BSE);
- 1st edition, Bolsaja Sovetskaja Enciklopedija , ed. from the shareholder company Soviet Encyclopedia , from 1930 State Encyclopedia Publishing Soviet Encyclopedia , later State Institute Soviet Encyclopedia , 65 volumes, Moscow 1926–1947;
- 2nd edition, arranged on the instructions of the Council of Ministers in 1949: Bolsaja Sovetskaja Enciklopedija , ed. vd Moscow State Academy, 50 volumes plus one supplementary volume, Moscow 1949–1958; 2 Reg.-Vols 1960.
- The Canadian Encyclopedia (published by Mel Hurtig from 1985, in English and French, available free of charge on the Internet since 2006)
- Encyclopaedia Judaica (published since 1971, in English; Jerusalem: Keter; New York: Macmillan), goes back to the German Encyclopaedia Judaica (Berlin: Eschkol 1928–1934; only partially published, volumes A-Lyra)
