The Manda National Park (Fr .: Parc National de Manda ) is a 1,140 km² protected area in the Moyen-Chari region in southern Chad . It is located northwest of the city of Sarh , its northeastern border forms the Shari , the southwest border forms the trunk road Sarh - N'Djamena .

It lies in the vegetation belt of the Eastern Sudan savannah and is 66% covered by bush savannahs , 31% by forests and 2% by grass savannas. On the Schari there are larger flood zones that are covered with large grass savannahs. The rainy season begins in April and the national park receives around 1,000 mm of rainfall per year.

It was originally established as a nature reserve in 1953 , and received its status as a national park in 1965. The national park was established to protect the population of the giant eland ( Taurotragus derbianus ). Although the population in the park has expired, the species has been preserved in the Goundi region to the west. Large mammal populations are at a low level. An occurrence of the African wild dog ( Lycaon pictus ) is assumed to be certain. During the dry season, the national park is grazed by numerous livestock, but the vegetation is still relatively intact.

In 1997, surveys of Avi-fauna have been created and there were stocks of the yellow-winged pytilia ( Pytilia hypogrammica ), the bush sparrow ( Petronia dentata ), the Gambagaschnäppers ( Muscicapa gambagae ), the ring Stares ( Grafisia torquata ), the splendor shine Stars ( Lamprotornis purpureus ), the Weißaugendrosslings ( Turdoides reinwardii ), the gray cap Eremomela ( Eremomela pusilla ), the Rostcistensängers ( Cisticola rufus ), the Senegal Beutelmeise ( Anthoscopus parvulus ), the black-breasted barbet ( Lybius rolleti ) and the Grünstirnspints ( Merops bulocki ) are recorded.
