National parks in North Macedonia
There are three national parks in North Macedonia , all of which are recognized by the World Conservation Union (IUCN) . They are in the west of the country.
All three national parks are neglected and threatened in their existence due to a lack of finances. The park administrations have to generate their own budget through logging licenses and are struggling with many problems.
