from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The National Road 50 is a 700-km road connecting the west of Algeria . It runs parallel to the border between Algeria and Morocco , from which it keeps a distance of about 100 km. It leads through the Hammada du Guir and the Hammada du Draa to Tindouf in the border area between Algeria, Morocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania . From there there are road connections to the Mauritanian National Road 1 to Ain Ben Till and to al-Mahbas in the Western Sahara region.

The starting point of national road 50 is located southwest of Abadla at the junction with national road 6 . After 27 km it reaches the village of Hammaguir and after another 110 km Oglat Beraber, where a desert road branches off in an easterly direction. After another 304 km there is a junction to Tinfouchy , which is about 10 km south of the trunk road.
