Natsagiin Bagabandi ( Mongolian Нацагийн Багабанди ; born April 22, 1950 in Jaruu, Dsawchan-Aimag ) is chairman of the Mongolian Revolutionary People's Party (MRVP).

Life

After graduating from school in Uliastai , Bagabandi studied at the Leningrad Technical University from 1968 . From 1972 to 1975 he worked as a mechanic in the production of beer and vodka in Ulaanbaatar . In 1975 he began studying at the Institute for Food Technology and finally became a technology engineer in 1980. Since 1980 he has been actively involved in the politics of Mongolia, so that in the same year he worked as a propagandist and executive in the central department of the Central Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MRVP). In 1984 he quit his job and began to study philosophy at the Social Science Academy in Moscow , which he completed with a doctorate in 1985.

In 1992 he was appointed a member of the Mongolian parliament and its chairman. He has been chairman of the MRVP since 1996. From 1997 to 2005 he was head of state of Mongolia.
