Natty King (real name Kevin Christopher Roberts , * 1977 in Saint Thomas Parish in Jamaica ) is a Jamaican reggae interpreter.

Live and act

Kevin Roberts grew up in the countryside in St. Thomas Parish in the southeast of the country.

His first hit was the song Mr. Greedy produced by DJ Trinity , which reached number 1 on the Jamaican charts. His next single No Guns To Town rose to # 1 on the video charts there. After his success in Jamaica, he decided to tour the USA and Europe in 2003 , where he performed at the Rototom Sunsplash festivals (then in Italy , now in Spain ) and the Uppsala Reggae Festival ( Sweden ).

Music genre

Natty King does roots reggae with texts that deal primarily with religion ( Rastafarian ), politics and the environment (consciousness). His role models are The Wailers , Burning Spear and Luciano .
