Natural monument sinkhole (2.2.2.1)

The natural monument Doline (2.2.2.1) with a size of 0.08 ha is located approximately 700 m south of Bleireinigung . The natural monument (ND) is located in the urban area of Brilon . The area was designated as a natural monument (ND) in 2001 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The natural monument is surrounded by the Fauler Bruch / Hemmeker Bruch nature reserve . South of the ND, 1 km away is the Doline natural monument (2.2.2.2) and 1.1 km away the Schwagloch natural monument (2.2.2.3) . The ND is right next to Landstrasse 956. The ND is surrounded by the Fauler Bruch / Hemmeker Bruch nature reserve.

The ND Doline is one of the five natural monuments in the Hoppecketal landscape plan which were defined as karst phenomena . There are three swallow holes and two sinkholes .

The sinkhole (2.2.2.1) is located in the middle of agricultural land. The immediate area is used as grassland. At the edge of the sinkhole there are some larger spruce trees.
