The freestanding oak natural monument

The natural monument Freistand-Eiche is located south of Oberschledorn in the city of Medebach, east of the L 854 between Oberschledorn and Medebach. The tree was designated as a natural monument (ND) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2003 with the Medebach landscape plan. The free-standing oak is a two-branch oak . The two groups of trees that form the Hudebuchen natural monument are located to the west and south-west of the same grassland area . Both natural monuments are a relic of the former pasture use. The two groups of trees and the free-standing oak stand in a wide grassland area and are a landscape element that can be seen from afar.
