Beijing Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum Beijing ( Chinese 北京 自然博物馆 , Pinyin Běijīng zìrán bówùguǎn , English Beijing Museum of Natural History (BMNH) ) is a natural history museum in China . The museum building is located in the Beijing District Dongcheng in the Tianqiao Nan-road no. 126. The institution was established in 1951 under the name National Central Museum of Natural History ( 中央自然博物馆 founded) and received in 1962 the current name.
The museum also shows dinosaurs in its exhibition. You can see the 26-meter-long sauropod Mamenchisaurus , various large predatory dinosaurs from the " Sinraptoridae " group, the " prosauropod " Lufengosaurus (comparable to the European "prosauropod" Plateosaurus ) and the bird-like anchiornis , which is very well known in China .
