Naya Daur Motors , previously Kandawala Industries , was an automobile manufacturer from Pakistan .

Company history

The company Kandawala Industries of Karachi began in 1962 with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Kandawala . In 1991 the name was changed to Naya Daur Motors and the brand name Naya Daur changed . Production ended in 1998 when the company went bankrupt .

In 2003, the Mecom Group of Companies took over the remainder of the company and founded Karakoram Motors , which has been producing vehicles again at the plant since then.

Initially, only off-road vehicles were built under license from Willys-Overland .

In 1998 production was added under licenses from Kia Motors .
