NcFTP is a free FTP client for the command line that can be run on many operating systems. The first version of NcFTP appeared in 1991. With NcFTPd , an FTP server is also available.

NcFTP is often cited as a convenient alternative to ftp . It masters all of the FTP commands supported by it and also offers some improvements such as the completion of file names and the creation of bookmarks in order to be able to access regularly used directories on an FTP server more quickly.
With ncftpget and ncftpput , two additional programs are also available that can use special parameters to upload and download individual files to and from the FTP server.
NcFTPd
Since 1996 the NcFTP developers have also been selling an FTP server application that can be used privately without license costs.
