Nebela carinata is a shell amoeba from the genus Nebela . It is also known in German as the Kiel shell amoeba. The species occurs in wet peat moss .
features
Nebela carinata is 160 to 200 micrometers in size. The shell is flat and colorless. A ridge that is 10 micrometers wide extends almost around the entire shell. The mouth opening is oval. It has a collar made of organic putty.
