Nebela militaris is a shell amoeba from the genus Nebela . It is also known in German as the delicate shell amoeba. The species occurs in wet to moist mosses and peat mosses . It is cosmopolitan.

Nebela militaris is a small species of Nebela that grows to 60 to 70 micrometers high. The flattened housing is transparent. It is covered with tiny and very delicate scales. These represent a mixture of platelets that are round, oval and rectangular. The mouth opening is a narrow slit. The upper and lower lips are concave.
