Nebela tincta is a shell amoeba from the genus Nebela . It is also known in German as a pocket shell amoeba. The species occurs in wet to dry mosses and peat mosses . It is cosmopolitan.

features

Nebela tincta is 75 to 95 micrometers in size. The case is yellowish in color, very transparent and quite flat. The scales are all round. The bowl opening is oval and looks straight when cut off.
