Nedžad Branković

Nedžad Branković (born December 28, 1962 in Višegrad ) is the former Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina , one of two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina .

Life

Nedžad Branković grew up in Višegrad ( East Bosnia ) and graduated from school there in 1980. Until 1987 he studied in Sarajevo at the Faculty of Construction. During the Bosnian War , Branković was a member of the Bosnian government troops between 1992 and 1993 . From 1993 to 1998 he held the post of General Director of the State Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina . Subsequently, Branković worked at Energoinvest before being appointed Minister of Transport and Communications of the Federation in 2003. On December 14, 2006, Branković successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Transport and Communication at the University of Sarajevo .

Nedžad Branković is married and has two children.

Political commitment

Branković has been politically active since 1990 and is now a member of the board and chair of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA). On May 27, 2009, he announced his resignation from the office of Prime Minister. His successor was Mustafa Mujezinović , also from the SDA.
