Nedra Tire

Nedra Tire (born 1921 in Offerman , Pierce County , Georgia , † 1990 in Richmond , Virginia ) was an American librarian and writer.

Tire studied a. a. English literature at Emory University ( Atlanta ) and was able to successfully complete this study in 1940 with a thesis on Mrs. Gaskell . She then worked for some time as a bookseller and later as a librarian.

Already during her studies she tried her hand at literary texts and soon after the end of the Second World War she made a successful debut with a detective novel .

In 1990 Nedra Tire died in Richmond, where she found her final resting place.
