Neefer Frauenberg is the name of a single location in Neef an der Mosel ( Mosel wine-growing region ). The single layer is part of the large Grafschaft area in the Zell area (Lower Moselle). The almost 10 hectare Frauenberg faces south-southwest and south, the soil consists mainly of gray Devonian slate with brown inclusions as Rigosol - Regosol made of clay debris, partly over the graywacke. Not quite as steep as the neighboring Calmont , with its often terraced vineyards it is one of the steepest of all.

It is assumed that wine was already being cultivated in Frauenberg in Roman times. Now, as for generations is mostly Riesling grown, besides there is also growing Pinot Noir . The name indicates the former vineyard property of the Stuben nunnery in this location. Gradually, and above all in the wake of the 1971 Wine Law, the actual Frauenberg was expanded southwards.

The Frauenberg was already represented in the group of the best vineyards on the Moselle in the Moselle wine-growing map of 1897. It is one of Hugh Johnson's Grand Cru vineyards and, according to the Gault Millau wine guide, one of the ten best vineyards in the Terrassenmosel .
